All About Briggs Ave. Community Garden and Intro to Grafting

March 21, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Join us in this introductory session to learn the history of Briggs Avenue Community Garden and basics of cleft grafting.

Join us in this introductory session as we learn about the past, present, and future of Briggs Avenue Community Garden. With ambitious plans to install a new teaching orchard underway, this is a great time to learn how a community garden is created and nurtured.

For the second half of class, learn how to become a gardening mad scientist, making your own new tree combinations. Learn the cleft grafting technique, one of the easiest techniques to graft onto tree branches.

Join the Extension Master Gardener℠ Volunteers of Durham County and Ashley Troth (Extension Horticulture Agent) to learn gardening tricks and tips at the Briggs Avenue Community Garden.
