DESCRIPTION:Join us for our next “Mashup” at the N.C. Plant Sciences Initiative! \nNC PSI Mashups provide a stage for industry partners of the N.C. PSI and our NCSU experts to showcase their exciting programs. Come learn and network with the local agtech community! \nThe theme for this Mashup is Digital Agriculture– using digital tools and data-driven insights to improve farming practices\, from using drones and sensors for monitoring crops to employing AI for data analysis and automated machinery. \nOur industry partner for this Mashup is Envu\, with guest speaker Dr. Arun Kumar. Arun is Head of Digital & Data Science at Envu and will talk about how Envu uses digital tools and data science to better connect science with customers. \nOur NC State speaker is Dr. Daniela (Dani) Jones\, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biological and Agricultural Engineering. Dani also has a joint-faculty appointment with Idaho National Laboratory\, as well as serves as Director of Agricultural Analytics with the Data Science Academy and was recently appointed as the new N.C. PSI Platform Director for Education and Workforce Development. \nRegister to attend! \nWhen: Thursday January 22nd.
