Virtual L&L – Industry 4.0: Power Conversion Considerations for IoT Applications

This Virtual Lunch & Learn session, led by Dylan Howes, will focus on key requirements and design considerations for power supplies used in IoT applications. Subtopics covered will include designing for universal mains: global power sources and regulatory constraints, peak power and duty cycle considerations, quiescent power consumption and efficiency, and circuit protection features.

Presented by Aurora Group in Raleigh and Power Partners – a TT Electronics company.

Dylan Howes is a Power Electronics Engineering Manager at Power Partners Inc, a TT Electronics Company, where he is responsible for managing all technical aspects of power converter design-in efforts. He also authors technical content to educate the Power Partners customer base and sales channels on power conversion and related topics. He has past experience is in acoustics engineering and communications hardware engineering and spends much of his free time teaching science/mathematics to college and high school students in the Central Massachusetts area. Dylan holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and continues his post-graduate studies in Power Electronics Engineering at the Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Worcester, MA.
