Virtual L&L – Digital Twins

Digital twins are virtual representations of physical systems that act as a single source of truth for the corresponding system. They are an emerging technology enabling digital transformation and Industry 4.0.
Digital twins are suitable for a lot of applications in a variety of industries, including smart cities, manufacturing, automotive, healthcare, and aerospace. They help reduce cost, monitor assets, improve maintenance, reduce downtime, predict future conditions using machine learning techniques, and improve decision making.
Join Dr. Zeydy Ortiz & Rob Montalvo, Co-Founders of DataCrunch Lab, as they provide an introduction to various concepts related to digital twins.
They will discuss some of the enabling technologies facilitating their implementation (hint: includes IoT & ML/AI). In addition, they will briefly discuss the fusion of sensor data and predictive algorithms to implement an Intelligent Digital Twin for condition-based maintenance.
