The Care and Keeping of Trees

One of the best things about Durham is our extensive tree cover. Living amongst the trees has many benefits, from beautiful spring blooms to shady summer afternoons, and of course the amazing wildlife habitat native trees provide. With a little care and planning, you can be sure to have beautiful trees for years to come.
Join Ashley Troth (Extension Horticulture Agent) to learn how to take care of the trees you have and plan for more. Participants will learn basic tree biology, how to plant and care for young trees, pruning and maintenance of older trees, and how to pick the right tree for the right place.
This class will be held via Zoom Thursday, May 13th, 2021 from 6 to 8 pm.
This class is part of the Bull City Gardener Learning Series and is open to everyone.
