CANCELLED Future Food Panel: Cultivated Meat
March 26, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:30 pm

UNC is hosting the first-ever event on cultivated meat this month. As one of the most promising solutions to tackle climate change, improve animal welfare and prevent nutrition-related diseases – food companies from around the world are taking an approach of developing the same meat we know, directly from its building blocks – cells. Come together and join us as we kick-off this event on March 26th from 6pm-7:30pm at the 1789 Venture Lab on Franklin St.
Speakers:
– Curt Albright (Managing Member of Clear Current Capital, a VC firm only investing in plant-based and cultivated meat companies)
– Paul Mozdziak (Chief Science Officer of the cultivated meat company, Peace of Meat, and a NC State cultivated meat researcher)
– Michael Fotinatos (previous Strategic Implementation Specialist at The Good Food Institute)
p.s: Free Heavenly Buffaloes plant-based wings will be served on site.
